IT Systems Engineer

NaphCare is hiring an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters on-site in Birmingham, AL 35216.

The IT Systems Engineer will work within a team devoted to IT infrastructure and will have the opportunity for advancement within the growing department.

Position Details:

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience is required
• Experience in supporting cloud environments.
• Experience with configuring DNS and DHCP, VMware vSphere, current server operating systems.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of cross-functional teams.
• Ability to logically troubleshoot in order to create innovative and practical solutions for problems as they arise.
• Ability to manage individual tasks and move projects towards known goals with minimal supervision in a team-based, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members.

Position Description:

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand business requirements and challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support end-to-end solutions that meet company/customer needs and align with industry best practices
• Support the development of complex systems, ensuring scalability, security and reliability.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to meet project requirements.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends,and apply this knowledge to drive improvement.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Create processes and documentation to improve efficiency and scale
• Provide top tier support related to the design, management, and maintenance of systems for our nationwide network of sites and users.
• Communicate with end-users in order to provide top tier support for system and issues.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of systems, both physical and virtual
• Management and troubleshooting of AWS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange.

Technology Experience Required:

• VMware configuration and support
• Microsoft server
• Active Directory configuration
• Windows OS hardening
• Microsoft RDS
• VDI experience is a plus
