We're seeking a Manager, Retail Flagship Store who thrives at the intersection of leadership, strategy and creativity. This role is pivotal in driving not just sales, but also brand perception, market influence, and community impact. Responsibilities

  • Sales and Brand Influence:
    • Lead sales performance by setting the standard for customer engagement, exclusive product launches, and in-store activations
    • Serve as the ultimate brand ambassador, showcasing New Era's legacy and connecting with customers through authentic experiences and share passion for the culture
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee all operational aspects of the store, including inventory, cash handling, loss prevention, and expense management, ensuring compliance with budgets and company policies
    • Maintain operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement to enhance profitability and team productivity
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead the hiring process to attract top talent and oversee staff development through clear direction, tailored coaching, and ongoing training
    • Regularly assess team performance, providing constructive feedback to drive accountability and foster growth while building a team that embodies the brand's values and delivers exceptional results
  • Customer Experience:
    • Inspire your team to embody the New Era culture with every interaction, creating moments that resonate and build customer loyalty
    • Maintain visual merchandising strategies that engage customers and drive sales
  • Community Engagement:
    • Host events and activations that celebrate the spirit of New Era, driving excitement and strengthening ties with the local community
  • Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Sales & Business Performance:
    • Proven experience managing a full P&L, with the ability to analyze financial performance, control expenses, and drive profitability
    • Comprehensive knowledge of products, with the ability to inspire enthusiasm and educate team members on key features and benefits
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ability to uphold brand standards through flawless store presentation and operational execution
    • Expertise in operational functions including scheduling, inventory management, and loss prevention
    • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and controlling expenses to achieve profitability
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Proven experience in leading and coaching diverse teams in fast-paced environments
    • Skilled in identifying talent, developing team members' strengths, and fostering a culture of growth and accountability
    • Strong conflict resolution and feedback delivery skills that inspire team alignment and performance
  • Community Engagement & Brand Building:
    • Commitment to creating meaningful experiences that reflect New Era's legacy, building trust and loyalty one interaction at a time
    • Ability to foster meaningful relationships with local businesses, creators, and organizations to enhance the store's visibility
    • Experience planning and hosting events that drive traffic and create community connections

Education and Experience:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of leadership experience in a high-profile, high-volume retail environment, ideally with flagship or community-focused locations
  • Proven ability to balance sales, operations, and customer experience at an elevated level
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of the local market and passion for community building and customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in using technology and analytics to enhance sales and operational strategies
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holiday

The salary range for this posted position is $55,000-$65,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
