Our Modern, Flexible Workplace: Summary of the Job: About This Role: Key Accountabilities: 1. Metadata Management: Lead the process to gather and maintain standard data definitions for each data element, conformed item, and calculated item available for use in the data environment. a. Coordinate with various departments to establish and maintain standard and consistent definitions. b. Identify key performance indicators, as defined by senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with other business units. c. Coordinate with related Information Technology teams to ensure alignment of data definition across the enterprise. d. Coordinate with IT on the establishment of standard definitions as available fields in the data environment. 2. Data Quality Management: Lead the process to identify, prioritize, and complete data quality improvement initiatives to ensure that high quality, accurate data is available for use in the data environment. a. Participate in profiling data from various sources to identify and understand current-state data quality. b. Manage and coordinate data quality improvement efforts from source system inputs to final presentation through the data warehouse. c. Participate in enterprise data quality discussions and initiatives to ensure alignment across the bank. 3. Master Data Management: Lead the process to identify and define master records for key business entities necessary to First National Bank. a. Facilitate the data mastering / golden data record process for key entities. b. Participate in defining master data and in aligning IT and business units around the mastered data. c. Participate in presenting and making available master record data for operational use, analytical use, and in decision-making. 4. Participate in data-related activities in support of business initiatives, which may include: a. Participating in IT projects to ensure that data considerations are included in new implementations and modifications. b. Establishing or improving extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes. c. Creating or improving data semantic layers for use by data-related tools. d. Querying data for creation and improvement of semantic layer datasets to feed reporting systems. The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and discussions in medium and large group settings. 2. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and consensus between business and information technology teams/backgrounds. 3. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently toward completing complex tasks. 4. Ability to extract, summarize, and analyze large sets of data, leveraging querying and reporting tools including Snowflake Snowsight, Python, Visual Studio Code , MS Power BI, and/or Business Objects 5. Expertise in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and in SharePoint site collaboration activities. Basic Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; preferably in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline. Other degree disciplines possible with requisite technical background or experience. 2. Minimum of five [5] years of experience using SQL, Python, or other tools to query, extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets required. 3. Experience in data management or data governance applications or processes preferred. Additional Qualifications: 1. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and consensus between business and information technology teams/backgrounds. 3. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently toward completing complex tasks. 4. Ability to extract, summarize, and analyze large sets of data, leveraging querying and reporting tools including SAS, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, SQL Server Data Tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), MS Power BI, and/or Business Objects Expertise in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and in SharePoint site collaboration activities. 5. Ability to handle stress, meet deadlines, and work independently. 6. Experience in financial services industry. 7. Experience with Data Governance or Data Management platforms, like Informatica, preferred. Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Compensation: Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
