Position Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for an entry to mid-level Environmental Engineer or Scientist in our Anchorage, Alaska office. This role offers the chance to support a diverse range of multi-media environmental compliance and remediation/restoration projects throughout Alaska and the Pacific region.

You'll work alongside a skilled team of environmental professionals, with opportunities for fieldwork, client interaction, and career development in a dynamic and meaningful industry.



Responsibilities

As part of our environmental compliance and restoration team, you will:




  • Support environmental compliance programs for Air Quality (Clean Air Act), Water Quality, Hazardous Materials (EPCRA reporting), and other environmental initiatives.



  • Conduct emissions calculations, data collection and analysis, site inspections, recordkeeping, and report preparation.



  • Assist in sample collection, monitoring, and field verification of emission units at federal and commercial facilities.



  • Travel to client sites for fieldwork across Alaska and the Pacific-including remote locations accessible by small aircraft, helicopter, or marine vessels.



  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, regulatory deliverables, and compliance documentation.





Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.



  • 0-7 years of relevant environmental experience.



  • Willingness and ability to travel for field assignments, including to remote and off-road locations.



  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a federal background check for access to Department of Defense facilities.





Desired Qualifications



  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (completion of the FE exam).



  • Method 9 Visible Emissions Evaluator Certification.



  • Alaska CESCL (Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead) Certification.



  • HAZWOPER 40-hour training.





Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.


Drug Screen Statement

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.

Pay Range
$60,000 $70,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
