JOB SUMMARY: The Workforce Partnership Manager builds and develops effective collaborations with corporate employers and organizations to provide mutually beneficial job opportunities for clients. The position provides individualized job searching services and training to Pathfinders nursing students. This position also oversees the provision of these services to eligible Spanish-speaking immigrants in the Workforce Development Program of the Enterprise Education and Employment (EEE) Department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides administrative and functional supervision of 1 FTE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with diverse businesses and organizations to develop mutually beneficial job placement strategies and assistance to make clients self-sufficient.
  • Provide individualized and group employment readiness training to clients.
  • Provide individualized job searching services and training to clients.
  • Maintain an active caseload of eight to ten students.
  • Supervise the Employment Specialist in the EEE Workforce Development Program.
  • Ensure prompt and regular communication in support of overall program goals and objectives.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Social Services or other related field.



  • Three years' experience conducting interviews, counseling or managing an employment-related program.



  • Two years' experience developing corporate partnerships.



  • Proven track record of recruitment and placement of qualified applicants.



  • Experience working with foreign-born population.




SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:



  • Proficient in Spanish.
  • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
