Job Description

Visa's Global Sales & Commercial Operations team supports the execution and delivery of key global initiatives and planning activities across the company.Our mandate is to develop, design, and execute the strategic direction for Visa's business operations and global sales organization, be the super connector for the markets, regions, global groups and bring a consistent voice and 'One Visa' mindset. The team has the following key focus areas: Business Performance, Sales Excellence, Sales Enablement, and Sales Tools.

This role will report into the Business Performance organization which includes Scorecard, Sales compensation strategies and programs, Target setting, the TRUTH business performance dashboards, and Client Insights program (survey, touchpoints).This analyst will be part of a team that partners with various teams globally to enable faster decision making, data democratization, and self-service through building innovative, and scalable best in class data marts and dashboard solutions. Our goal is to empower and enable our business partners to glean valuable insights from our tools to support their interactions with clients and sales initiatives.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a data enthusiast with basic to intermediate Tableau Software skills who is interested in becoming advanced in all things Tableau Desktop. As a Tableau Dashboard Development Analyst, you will leverage design and development best practices and processes. You will partner with data engineers, other Tableau developers, and global business teams to enhance and deliver high-visibility dashboards and data insights to a global customer base including senior executives.

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated reporting and dashboard solutions using Tableau
  • Deliver medium to large complexity dashboards as part of a project team
  • Dive deeper into data presented in the dashboards and conduct business analyses via Tableau or Excel
  • Prioritize design best practices, with a strong focus on user experience within the dashboard
  • Provide operational production support for the dashboards on Tableau Server including the creation of monthly and quarterly executive scorecards
  • Assist in optimizing dashboard performance and data refresh schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of insights
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Create materials to support comprehensive user training for our Tableau solutions
  • Partner with data engineering to understand the data architecture and schema
  • Perform thorough and extensive quality testing of Tableau Dashboards ensuring the data is accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Basic to intermediate Tableau development skills and knowledge of interactive data visualization best practices
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset by showing a willingness to continuously learn new data visualization tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Tableau Desktop Certification or interest in obtaining Tableau Certifications
  • Understanding of data management systems and processes within the ecosystem (source systems, data feeds, reference data management, ETL, Data Warehouses and Marts, data cube design, etc.)
  • Experience with any scripting language (R/Python) is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments or familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana) is a plus
  • Prior experience in an analytical role within a global organization
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills. Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 89,900 to 149,550 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
