UVA Health is seeking a Pediatric Trauma Program Coordinator to help lead and support the expansion of our trauma designation to a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. This is a vital leadership opportunity for a motivated RN with a strong background in pediatric trauma, specifically in the Emergency Department or PICU.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with trauma medical directors and hospital leadership to coordinate all aspects of the pediatric trauma program, including program development, case review, data collection/submission, and preparation for site visits. You will play a key role in ensuring quality patient care, adherence to trauma standards, and readiness for the upcoming pediatric Level I designation review within the next two years. Preferred Qualifications: - RN with 5+ years of experience in pediatric trauma, emergency, or critical care (PICU) - Strong understanding of trauma systems and pediatric care standards - Experience in program development, quality improvement, or case management preferred - Management and/or administrative experience a plus - Excellent communication, organizational, and data management skills Join us in shaping the future of pediatric trauma care at UVA Health.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire. Experience: 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in a patient care environment (preferably trauma and/or emergency care) Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Position Compensation Range: $71,988.80 - $115,190.40 AnnualBenefits
