The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for translating data insights and analysis into data models through data preparation and extraction and defining successful analytics outcomes. The Data Analytics Engineer combines business strategy and technical data knowledge to translate and illustrate complex data models that drive value for the organization. Work is somewhat complex in nature and performed under general supervision, requiring independent judgement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to translate data insights and analysis needs into data models that influence decisions and drive value for the organization.
  • Support the team and/or organization in preparing and developing analytic data sources for end users.
  • Transform, test and document data for consumption using data engineering best practices.
  • Develop, standardize and improve data documentation.
  • Improve and optimize data pipelines and/or models.
  • Maintain and support reports and dashboards in production.
  • Maintain and modify datasets.
  • Perform data quality audits to identify issues with data collection.
  • Develop working knowledge of relevant data, information, and application architecture to influence decisions.
  • Understand key business priorities, marketing goals, customer segments, decision drivers and hypotheses, to create performance metrics.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or other business-relevant discipline from a four-year college or university; OR 4 additional years of relevant data and analytics or technical experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in data and analytics, technical, or business-relevant function; OR if Advanced degree in a STEM discipline, up to 2 years' experience in data and analytics, technical, or business relevant function.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of business intelligence platforms, data management platforms, data warehouses and/or lakes, ETL/ELT, or SQL-based languages (Tableau, NoSQL, TSQL, R, Python, or related).
  • Experience managing internal metrics, data, and business intelligence strategies.
  • Ability to apply data architectural principles to business solutions.
  • Ability to use multidisciplinary approach to Data Analytic problems combining technical expertise with analytics and business knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Entry level to intermediate critical thinking and analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • Entry level to intermediate business acumen skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
