The Sr Custom Clearance Spe is a position that provides technical and regulatory advice on plans and procedures for implementing and improving global import/export clearances and transit procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinating the development of global procedures to facilitate the introduction of new products and services
  • Identifying the full scope and impact of practices, policies, regulations, and laws in countries where FedEx or its global service partners operate
  • Analyzes and reviews global procedures to identify ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and/or recommend operating policies in response to changing regional regulatory requirements
  • Provide information for developing, implementing, and administering policies to facilitate global import, export, and transit operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years of related diversified international transportation experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Possess broad, general knowledge of worldwide regulatory agency requirements.

Analytical, human relations, and communication skills.

Job Conditions

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred subject matter expert in carrier manifest messaging in IATA and CAMIR formats.
