How you will make history here... Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, perform all routine laboratory analyses pertaining to the Campbell's Analytical Laboratory. Operate analytical instrumentation and accurately calculate results in accordance with the Quality Manual. In addition, the Chemist may also supervise the activities of laboratory technicians and junior chemists. What you will do... This position will have direct involvement with A2LA ISO accreditation and renewal process. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all analytical equipment including GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS, and ICP/MS. Identify and quantify compounds of interest and unknowns with both accuracy and precision. Knowledge of standard multiresiduepesticide methodology, heavy metals testing, allergen testing by Elisa, Acrylamide, Capsaicin, moisture and fat analysis. Ensure compliance with all plant, corporate, local, state, and federal regulatory standards. Validate methods, maintain multi-level standard and prepare reference solutions. Ability to proactively identify and address concerns or issues that may affect or improve Food Safety, Product Quality, Key Stakeholder and Customer Expectations. A detail oriented, team player with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Supervisory responsibilities may include schedulingand reviewing daily work of laboratory technicians, keeping regard to priority samples and scheduled turnaroundtimes. Keep current with new and developing technology. A customer focuseddecision maker, multitasking with good judgement, competent interpersonal, communication, and presentationskills. Food safety, Quality and Plant Labs What you bring to the table... (Must Have) Bachelor's degree in chemistry 5+ years of experience in a laboratory work environment. Working knowledge of analytical equipment; in particular, Agilent instruments. It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have) Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Forensic, Toxicology or related discipline. 5+ years of experience in analytical or contract laboratory. Excellent knowledge of residue testing requirements and analytical equipment operations. Knowledge of laboratory accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $66,600-$95,800Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
