Role Overview

As a UX Design Architect on the Agentforce UX Platform team, you'll lead the strategic experience architecture for a new generation of intelligent agents and AI native experiences on the Salesforce platform. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and design leadership-defining experience systems and AI interaction models that scale.

This role demands exceptional systems-level thinking, a profound understanding of AI systems and their underlying technical architecture, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into intuitive user experiences. You will leverage your deep expertise to bridge fragmented efforts, aligning diverse engineering and product teams towards a cohesive experience and platform strategy. Crucially, you will bridge the gap between our design-time tooling and run-time engines, understanding how reasoning, orchestration, ontology, and memory systems drive what happens at runtime. You'll help define the foundational design and systems that supports scalable, trustworthy, and ethical AI-driven workflows for agents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect End-to-End Agent Experiences with Product and Engineering: Define and architect the end-to-end experience frameworks for authoring, testing, deploying, and managing AI agents and processes. This includes deep collaboration with engineering teams to define system architecture, technical strategy, and integrate human-in-the-loop workflows, orchestration patterns, and real-time feedback loops. You will specifically focus on how design-time configurations and AI systems translate into dynamic run-time behaviors and user interactions.

  • Drive Cross-Org Alignment & Technical Translation: Act as a critical bridge and translator between our team and Senior Design, Product, and Core Engineering leaders across Platform, Agentforce, Apps, and Emerging Tech. You will articulate complex technical requirements into design principles and user value, defining shared experience architecture, reducing fragmentation, and clarifying ownership across these critical groups. This includes translating the implications of reasoning, orchestration, and memory system designs into user experience flows and platform capabilities.

  • Lead AI-Native Design Practices: Lead the evolution of our design practice in an AI-native world, upskilling our team and pushing the boundaries of human-AI collaboration. You will model how design partners directly with product and engineering to modernize our approach to crafting intelligent systems in newly forming agile frameworks and workflows.

  • Establish Governance for Ethical AI: Integrate principles of transparency, fairness, and user agency into AI experience design. Contribute to internal frameworks and tooling that promote responsible AI usage.

  • Rapid Prototyping & Architectural Experimentation: Drive rapid prototyping and experimentation to explore new AI-native interaction models. You will quickly translate insights from these experiments into actionable architectural and design blueprints, ensuring scalability, durability, and a path to platform extensibility.

  • Mentor and Influence: Guide Principal and Senior Designers by modeling strategic thinking, systems-level perspective, and cross-functional influence.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and/or mobile application designs, ideally within enterprise software or SaaS.

  • Expertise in prototyping, AI systems architecture, user-centered design, and systems thinking. Proven ability to create system blueprints, customer journeys, and technical systems diagrams.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams, understanding underlying system constraints and opportunities, and translating these into impactful UX strategies. This includes a strong understanding of design-time and run-time interactions.

  • Proficiency in prototyping and vibe-coding tools; Figma and Cursor preferred.

  • Experience designing for AI-powered platforms, particularly tools for creating and managing AI agents.

  • Ability to thrive in highly collaborative, rapidly evolving, and dynamic environments, with a proven track record of delivering impactful work through iterative experimentation.
