A Solderer may perform any or all of the following tasks: Soldering; Rework Solder & Coat; Hand/Laser Marking; Mechanical Assembly; Bonding; Routing; Packing; Mechanical Rework; Masking/De-masking; Board Cleaning; Material Handling; Self Inspection; Go/No Go Testing; Part Tinning; X-ray/AOI; Component Prep; Photographs; Complex Box Builds.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of soldering experience
  • Successful completion of the following training programs (which are provided):

    • ESD & Class 0 Certification
    • Component Identification Training
    • Layout Training
    • Right-To-Know Training
    • Moisture Sensitive Devices
    • IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 Sypris training
    • Component/PWB Handling
    • Move Safe Product
    • Part Installation
    • Operator Self Inspection


  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Performs assessment of product quality
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate barcode scanning equipment
  • Standing for extended periods of time may be required
  • Vision corrected to 20/20
  • Infrequent lifting and moving of material over 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds; occasional lifting and moving of drums in excess of 100 pounds
  • Ability to obtain a US Government granted security clearance, if necessary
