Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking a Systems Engineer (Kubernetes) to provide advanced container orchestration and virtualization support to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) G7. This position focuses on the integration, deployment, and optimization of Kubernetes platforms, helping drive modernization across Army intelligence systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver expert-level technical support for the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Kubernetes infrastructure and container services on platforms such as:
- VMware Tanzu
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) OpenShift
- Provide support for the automated deployment and configuration of servers and workstations within a virtualized environment.
- Stay abreast of evolving technologies, DoD policies, and cybersecurity standards to ensure operational compliance and modernization.
- Collaborate with Tier III support teams and external stakeholders to troubleshoot Kubernetes-related issues and support integration with virtual machines and applications.
- Coordinate with INSCOM G7 on future development activities and emerging technology solutions.
- Conduct system functionality and compliance testing prior to delivery to meet operational and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, implementation guidance, and deployment instructions for Tier III personnel.
- Prepare and deliver briefings, white papers, and executive summaries for senior Army and Intelligence Community (IC) leadership.
Here's what you need:
- In-depth hands-on experience with Kubernetes, RHEL OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, and VMware vCenter
- Minimum of nine (9) years of experience supporting DoD, Army, or INSCOM intelligence systems and operations
- Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
- CompTIA Security+ (required prior to start)
Bonus if you have:
- Relevant certifications in Kubernetes or VMware technologies
- Experience supporting the Converged Infrastructure (CI) Distributed Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (DPED) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment
Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required. Must be willing to undergo a CI polygraph to obtain and maintain NSAnet access.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of relevant experience
- OR Master's degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience
- OR PhD/JD and four (4) years of relevant experience
- Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Work Schedule:
- Onsite: Monday - Friday, 8 hours each day.
