Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Used Equipment Fleet Manager.

Position Summary:

The Used Equipment Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the status of inspection, repair, and readiness of the company's used equipment fleet to ensure it meets quality standards for resale or rental. This role acts as the primary liaison between sales, service, warranty, and parts teams, ensuring efficient workflow, cost control, and accurate equipment documentation. The UE Fleet Manager plays a key role in driving equipment profitability and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Oversee "make-ready" process for used equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs and inspections.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the sales team regarding service needs for used and rental equipment.
  • Coordinate between service and sales support to align timelines, quality expectations, and delivery readiness.
  • Review inspections, repair quotes, and rebuild proposals; provide expert guidance to the Used Equipment Manager on repair strategies.
  • Work closely with the used parts team to monitor and manage repair costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory configuration, including updates to machine folders with work performed during preparation.
  • Assist in attachment inventory reconciliation and overall equipment configuration integrity.
  • Collaborate with the warranty department to manage claims and coverage for used equipment.
  • Approve and issue purchase order numbers related to service work.
  • Partner with the Used Equipment administrative team to prepare marketing materials, including photos, descriptions, and inspection reports.
  • Continuously evaluate inspection quality, provide feedback to service teams, and support process improvements.
  • Generate and deliver biweekly reports to the Used Equipment Manager, including inspection timelines, make-ready status, and quality metrics.
  • Assist the UEM with repair estimates and cost control during rebuilds.



Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in construction equipment fleet management, service coordination, or related roles in construction or industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills across departments.
  • Proficient in inventory systems and ERP platforms (e.g., dealer management systems, service work order tools), Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong maintenance and repair knowledge, Caterpillar Machines preferred.
  • Caterpillar Web Services (CWS) knowledge preferred.
