Purpose of the Role Key Responsibilities Develop detailed documentation for material orders, including part codes, supplier information, and compliance with project-specific standards. Monitor material inventory, assess consumption trends, and recommend adjustments to prevent shortages or overstocking. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align material needs with project timelines and evolving scopes. Support the operation and maintenance of the site's material control system to ensure traceability and accountability across the supply chain. Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment, ensuring alignment with health, safety, and environmental practices. Identify material discrepancies or delivery issues, apply problem-solving techniques, and implement corrective actions in coordination with key stakeholders. Participate in cross-functional planning discussions to align material delivery schedules with overall project milestones. Provide technical guidance to junior staff as needed to ensure consistency in processes and documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements throughout the materials management lifecycle. Qualifications / Skill Set Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support project execution. Proficient understanding of material control systems, supply chain processes, and inventory management tools. Proven experience in materials planning, tracking, and distribution in support of field construction or capital projects. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess challenges and implement practical solutions. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and clearly convey material requirements and constraints. Familiarity with systems, tools, and software used in materials control and project execution environments. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic project setting. Experience supporting sustainability-related initiatives or working on projects aligned with energy transition goals is highly desirable.
