The Opportunity

Trust and Safety is an area of critical importance for Adobe as we continue to expand into creative, professional and enterprise markets worldwide. We are seeking a hardworking, collaborative, and experienced Senior Manager, Trust & Safety Operations to drive child safety, content moderation and data disclosure operations. This crucial role ensures our platforms are safe and users are empowered to be creative and productive across all our apps, while protecting our brand and meeting legal policies and requirements.

In this role, you'll be leading a global operations team tasked with protecting our users by moderating, removing, and preventing illegal, offensive, and inappropriate content using a combination of automated, manual, and vendor solutions. This team is also responsible for resolving and mitigating CSAM issues, spam, abuse, Terms of Service violations, and a variety of other issues reported internally or from our users.

You will drive operational performance and scale, while ensuring policy and legal compliance against committed SLAs. You'll work closely with internal teams to deliver and manage online safety services and solutions, and use data and insights to identify trends, issues and ways to improve effectiveness and efficiencies. You will also manage operations vendors, contracts, and budgets, including regular forecasting and accounting. You will lead online safety and moderation strategies and solutions, working closely with our legal, policy, engineering, and product teams.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned subject matter expert who can wear multiple hats, be both operational and strategic, and work closely and collaboratively with partners and clients to ensure our users and communities remain safe. Previous experience with online safety, privacy, fraud/abuse prevention, policy enforcement, and operational management within a large technical company is a must.

This full-time position will be based in San Francisco or San Jose, CA.

What you'll Do

  • Operationalize policies, guidelines and best-practices to keep our products, communities and users safe, while creating and delivering strategies and services that scale to meet business and industry needs.

  • Develop and maintain a productive, effective, high morale ops team through coaching, support, and feedback to ensure optimal productivity and quality.

  • Lead our emergency on-call team handling time-sensitive imminent harm issues.

  • Manage vendor and partner relationships and services, create and manage contracts, and be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and accounting on behalf of internal client teams.

  • Define and develop strategies for increasing and scaling online safety capabilities and driving efficiencies to meet internal and external needs and requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with legal, engineering, product and client teams.

  • Analyze data, trends, and issues to find opportunities to improve processes, workflows, tools and systems while improving safety, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

  • Create and maintain annual and quarterly business and team goals, priorities, roadmaps and provide weekly status reports. Conduct regular reviews of client requirements, abuse and content moderation, and service delivery to support transparency, quality improvements, and internal audits

  • Partner with legal and HR partners to coordinate employee morale and wellness programs

  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge about legal regulations, policies, and requirements along with content moderation, spam, child safety and abuse trends at Adobe and within the industry.

  • Be a leading voice and advocate for the team.

What you need to succeed

  • 7+ years experience in leadership, working on online safety issues or a related field.

  • A collaborative, creative and business-friendly teammate with exceptional interpersonal skills and a phenomenal sense of humor and dedication to integrity.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with metrics and developing proposals driven by data.

  • Ability and appetite to learn quickly with a curious, problem-solving focused mind.

  • Ability to travel occasionally.

  • Comfortable working with sensitive and/or disturbing content.

  • Good understanding of relevant global laws and regulatory landscape.

  • Strategic problem solver with excellent legal and business intuition and judgment.

  • Ability to influence key business partners and prioritize product initiatives.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $136,400 -- $265,400 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
