Haskell's Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. As a team member at Haskell, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that will challenge your creativity, innovation, and expand your skill set. In this role, you will participate in project delivery by executing innovative planning, evaluation, design, permit, and construction support services for design-build projects that are primarily industrial facilities for food and beverage clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

    Directs and is accountable for all aspects of the design effort on a project for the disciplines assigned.
  • Operates as primary client interface during design. Maintains a positive client relationships and develops potential future work opportunities.
  • Develops design budget, fees, and scopes with input from the project design team and is responsible for design financial performance.
  • Develops the design schedule and coordinates staff allocation to projects with other design project managers and AE business unit leaders.
  • Responsible for coordination among disciplines and conformance to corporate standards for design documents (e.g., calculations, drawing, and specification production).
  • Supervises personnel assigned to the project. Provides leadership in project teaming and integration of design and construction staff.
  • Monitoring of design team response to Requests for Information and submittal review time.
  • Participates in quality reviews with the project team.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering
  • 10 years of AEC design experience with at least 2+ years running projects
  • Professional registration or registration eligible (preferred)
  • Knowledge of design document production and presentation software
  • Communications, negotiations, management, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge and experience in design project management including, but not limited to, budgeting, scheduling, proposal writing, staffing, coordination, forecasting, conflict resolution, and change management

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
