Temporary Technician -- Pelton Round Butte

Position: Temporary Technician

Location: Pelton Round Butte, Madras, OR

Rate of Pay: $25.89 per hour

We are hiring for the following

• September: Training and prep work, (4 x10 hours shifts)
• October: Day shift 6AM - 4:30 PM; Night shift 6PM - 4:30 AM 4x10 hour shifts up to 7x10 hour shifts
• November & December: Day Shift 6AM - 4:30 PM

There will be overtime available. Overtime is paid out at twice the hourly rate.

Provide support in the inspection, operation, construction, and maintenance of project equipment, systems, and structures excluding electrical repairs of plant generating equipment.This is a limited duration position, expected to last approximately 2-3 months from date of hire.

DUTIES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)

• Work safely.
• Perform work in support of various inspections, repair, construction and maintenance of project equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Perform work in support of the repair and maintenance of project roads.
• Operate vehicles and all types of equipment (other than heavy equipment) as necessary to support maintenance activities.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning project facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required)

• Possess a valid driver's license
• Pass preplacement medical examination, drug test, and physical fitness examination
• Regularly pass a criminal and identity background check in compliance with FERC, NERC, WECC, and CIP regulations.

During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed. These reports will be discussed with the employee by his/her immediate supervisor, and copies of each will be given to him/her.
