Job Title: Clinical Social Worker

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Social Worker provides professional social work services across all Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) clinical sites. This role supports patients and families by addressing psychosocial needs, promoting access to resources, and advocating for positive change within the healthcare and community environment.

A. Education:

  Master's degree in Social Work required.

  
  

B. Knowledge:

• 
  

  Solid understanding of core social work values, ethics, and principles.

  Ability to draw upon both educational background and professional experience to support and empower patients, families, and communities.

  
  

C. Skills:

• 
  

  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with JHCP providers, staff, patients, and families from diverse backgrounds.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to provide supervision, guidance, and direction to Social Work students, if eligible.

  
  

D. Licensure/Certification:

• 
  

  Current Maryland license from the Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C level, or license-eligible status.

  
  

E. Work Experience:

• 
  

  Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate Social Work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ambulatory care.

  
  

Salary Range: Minimum $29.86/hour - Maximum $49.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
