Job Title: Community Psychiatry Mental Health Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Psychiatry Mental Health Specialist plays a vital role in providing comprehensive, integrated mental health and substance use services to patients served by the Community Psychiatry Program. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day - supporting individuals and families on their journey to wellness and recovery.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered mental health and substance use services as part of an interdisciplinary care team.



  • Build trusting, therapeutic relationships with patients while supporting them in navigating complex challenges.



  • Apply foundational principles of psychology and mental health to support individualized treatment goals.



  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate closely with clinical staff and community partners to ensure seamless, high-quality care.





JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




  1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mental Health, or a closely related field.



  2. Less than six (6) months of previous experience required - ideal for new graduates eager to grow and make an impact.



  3. Valid driver's license with two (2) or fewer points required.



  4. Strong analytical skills to address challenges using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.



  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion in sensitive situations.

Salary Range: Minimum $23.00/hour - Maximum $37.97/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.



In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
