Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $66,950 - $66,950 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary We seek a dynamic, energetic Project Coordinator to provide research assistance to support the planning, development and implementation of a study that investigates ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) relating to trust in precision medicine research among people with disabilities across racial and ethnic groups. Working directly with the lead researcher, will support all aspects of this project, including literature review, data collection and analyses, planning of multi-stakeholder meetings and assistance with manuscript preparation. The ideal candidate has prior experience in conducting qualitative research and is bilingual (Spanish/English). This position will be at the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY (http://columbiamedicine.org/cpmg/). Responsibilities Conduct academic literature review relevant for the study Plan, observe and/or facilitate online focus groups with diverse populations Support all aspects of data analyses, including data management, coding of focus groups' transcripts, and manuscript preparation. Plan and coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops Communicate and coordinate work with project team and collaborators. Perform additional related duties as needed or assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience Demonstrated interest in ethics and/or disability studies Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills, including effective verbal and written communication Ability to work well independently and complete assignments in a timely manner Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines Comfortable with research technologies and online platforms for research Ability to give close attention to detail and learn new skills (e.g., disability accessibility) Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in public health, social sciences, or other related field Experience with focus groups and qualitative research Familiarity with disability studies and/or ELSI research Bilingual (English/Spanish) Other Requirements Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
