Custodian

We are seeking a full time Custodian for our customer, County Materials in Marathon, WI.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas in office and manufacturing facilities; offices, restrooms, common spaces, and other designated areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, repairing minor damages, and ensuring that facilities are in proper working condition.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items to ensure that facilities are well-stocked and prepared for use.
• Manage waste disposal processes, including emptying trash cans, recycling materials, and ensuring compliance with waste management regulations.
• Recognize any issues pertaining to compliance with safety regulations, sanitation standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Interact with team members and visitors, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing assistance as needed.
• Specialized cleaning duties such as floor waxing, carpet cleaning, or cleaning sensitive equipment, as needed.
• Maintain records related to cleaning schedules, supply inventory, maintenance tasks, and other relevant documentation.
• Occasional minimal location landscaping to be performed including clearing snow.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Work Environment:

• Office and manufacturing facility environments.
• Day work hours.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and to frequent bending, lifting and standing for long periods
• Standing / Walking / Climbing.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in cleaning, maintenance, or facilities roles
• Attention to detail
• Trustworthy
• Self-motivated and the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
• Punctual, a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel locally is a plus
• Good driving record
• Basic cleaning equipment supplied
