Hours & Pay:

Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $42,000 - $50,000 per year

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Lead the planning and development of editorial content for a magazine
• Review editorial submissions to ensure subject matter accuracy, tone consistency, and publication readiness
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and contributors to ensure timely and high-quality content
• Research and validate aeromodeling-related topics and terminology
• Coordinate coverage of major industry events and trade shows, occasionally attending in person
• Build and manage relationships with freelance contributors and subject-matter experts
• Contribute original content, including monthly editorials and industry profiles
• Maintain editorial standards, monitor trends, and shape themed issues annually
• Assist in the development of an annual editorial calendar and improve the publication's digital presence

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of publishing experience (editorial, copyediting, or content development)
• Strong background or interest in the world of model aviation preferred
• Excellent proofreading, editing, and project management skills
• Familiarity with desktop publishing tools; web publishing experience is a plus
• Clear, confident communicator with strong organizational abilities
• Enthusiastic about innovation, accuracy, and cultivating high-quality editorial content
