Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead the sourcing strategies and procurement operations that align with the company's objectives for cost reduction, supplier performance, and innovation. This role requires advanced sourcing skills, supplier management, and the ability to drive long-term value creation through strategic partnerships. You will oversee sourcing for critical materials, components, and services that support aerospace production, ensuring high standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business needs, focusing on cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation across the aerospace supply chains.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and manage long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals for quality, cost, and innovation. Lead supplier performance evaluations and foster continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with product development and production goals.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead complex negotiations, including multi-year supply agreements, cost breakdown analyses, and risk-sharing mechanisms. Ensure terms and conditions are aligned with company interests and global regulatory standards.
  • Market Intelligence and Risk Management: Analyze market trends, pricing forecasts, and emerging technologies to inform strategic sourcing decisions. Proactively manage supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, geopolitical risks, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR).
  • Cost Savings and Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing strategies. Implement process improvements within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Global Sourcing and Supplier Diversification: Lead efforts to identify and qualify global suppliers, driving supplier diversity and reducing dependency on single sources. Ensure a robust and scalable supply chain that supports global manufacturing needs.
  • ERP and Data Management: Oversee sourcing and procurement activities using the ERP system (e.g., Oracle), ensuring data integrity, accuracy in supplier management, and compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading sourcing projects and delivering cost savings, with experience in negotiating contracts for high-tech or engineered components.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP and ITAR regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration) or equivalent experience. (Master's preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and increase morale within department
  • Detail oriented and interpersonal skills

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $113,000 to $142,100 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
