SUMMARY
The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Analyst, acting as the eyes and ears of our DoD client within a mission-critical, 24x7x365 network operations environment. In this role, the analyst will support the prioritization of incidents, alignment of resources, and execution of real-time analysis of network events across multiple enclaves.
The candidate will also function as a team consultant and may be called upon to serve as an action officer, contributing to operational coordination and leveraging knowledge of IT business processes. Responsibilities include the use of Event Management tools, BMC Remedy, SharePoint, and other service operations platforms to support incident response. The analyst will be expected to perform initial troubleshooting for issues involving network infrastructure, servers, and applications, and will maintain clear and accurate documentation, including Daily Turnover Log entries, in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and detect network events and incidents in real time, taking immediate action in accordance with established operating procedures.
*
Maintain continuous situational awareness of network health, open tickets, and ongoing high-priority missions.
*
Identify, assess, and respond to operational issues by executing appropriate corrective actions based on standard procedures.
*
Correlate and analyze data from multiple sources and IT management tools to assess impact and determine root causes.
*
Create formal incident reports and route work requests to the appropriate teams in alignment with operational workflows.
*
Document all actions taken to resolve events and incidents, ensuring detailed and accurate records are maintained.
*
Provide daily and on-demand Situation Reports (SITREPs), including executive-level summaries, to inform decision-makers.
*
Deliver Watch Team briefings and reports, including high-level briefings on behalf of the client as required.
*
Advise the Watch Officer on recommended business processes to improve operational effectiveness and mission alignment.
*
Organize, manage, and track all client-related data and communications in accordance with internal procedures.
*
Filter and synthesize large volumes of information to extract relevant insights and support timely decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
*
IAM I (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, or HCISPP)
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
*
2-5 years overall IT experience.
*
1-3 years if experience in a 24/7 NOC or SOC environment.
*
Experience using Department of Defense (DoD) ticketing systems, such as BMC Remedy, for incident tracking and resolution.
*
Working knowledge of OPSEC, INFOSEC, and proper handling of sensitive or classified data in accordance with DoD protocols.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside fellow watch standers, the Watch Officer, and external organization.

Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols (SOPs) with precision and consistency.

Confident and articulate speaking ability, with the capacity to respond clearly and professionally to questions in both routine and high-stress situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
*
Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours support during emergency situations. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
