Job Description

The Acquisitions Accountant is part of the Global Finance Operations (GFO) and Controllership Team and is responsible for the accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting submissions for North America. You will handle different general accounting transactions including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for Rockwell Automation Acquisitions. You will also provide support for important projects, process improvements, system enhancements and other continuous improvement projects. You will report to our Accounting Controller and work a hybrid schedule in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a complete and systematic set of financial transactions in the legacy systems of the acquisitions (i.e. Epicor, NetSuite, Workday).
  • Consolidate and report results into Rockwell Automation reporting systems on a monthly basis.
  • Complete assigned account reconciliations in compliance with Corporate policies.
  • Investigate and resolve any reconciliations identified per internal policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Document processes and assist with ongoing updates to existing policies and procedures.
  • Provide support related to internal audit and external audit inquiries.
  • Help with different continuous improvement projects.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 1 or more years of accounting experience.
  • CPA certification or eligible for CPA exam.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, accounting transactions, balance sheet and income statement preparation, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and journal entries.
  • Experience with integrated ERP platforms.
  • Willingness to participate in a hybrid work team creating a work environment where all individuals can and want.
