Role Summary

Responsible for production of our Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition (AHAN) related products in our Science Hearted Center. The position supports and performs work in all aspects of the inbound and outbound supply chains to support the business.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Perform all necessary duties to fulfill customer order requirements.

    • Receive all new customer orders for product and schedule them for production.

    • Manufacture products: dry powder blending, package finished goods to ensure highest quality products.

    • Maintain all product recipe files and update as needed.

    • Review all orders to be fulfilled and confirm that the product recipe is correct and that the proper materials are available to fulfill that order.

    • Manage all shipping of finished products and receipt of incoming materials.

  • Maintain certification to operate all equipment in facility in a safe and cost-effective manner

    • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment when applicable.

    • Manage the operations work area to maintain employee safety and product integrity.

    • Meet all customer requirements in a timely manner.

  • Manage all paperwork related to each customer order and file it appropriately.

  • Collect all required product samples during production and in final shipment to have retained samples, etc.

  • Work with the Quality Control and the Analytical Laboratory to ensure that all product produced and shipped meets product specifications and requirements.

  • Adhere to and follow established procedures and policies for working in the production area. Assist in maintaining production compliance including SOP development and equipment maintenance.

  • Oversee and coordinate international shipment of products, ensuring accurate documentation, and compliance with all regulatory requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited institution preferred

  • 1-3 years of related experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong scientific knowledge and hands on operation experience is needed.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Responsible for lifting 60 pounds, climb ladders and stairs.

  • Use of a pallet jack safely, to move up to 2.200 pound pallets.

  • Must have the ability to study, identify, understand, prioritize, plan and clearly articulate market and customer requirements.

  • Computer literate and knowledgeable of MS Office.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and takes ownership of assigned projects.

  • Works well independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage large workloads at times and to adapt to reprioritization as necessary in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects without manager oversight.

  • Demonstrated organizational, work planning, and problem-solving skills.
