Job Description

A Senior Product Manager is responsible for Commercial virtual cards product management, development efforts and working closely with the product and technology teams. We are seeking an individual that is a self-starter, ready to learn and innovate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role will report to the product lead for the Virtual Cards, also known as pseudo accounts and will be the product owner for one of the Virtual Card scrum teams. This person will work very closely with other product groups, such as the Visanet and Visa Token Services (VTS) on driving forward the adoption of commercial virtual cards across large financial institutions and technology providers.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for product management, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.Experience within the payments or financial technology industryis a plus. The right candidate will be able to combine successful product development process experience with effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and technical skills. This role will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end product management including understanding global market needs, developing product vision and roadmap creation. They will meaningfully impact the client experience through improving product design and performance for Visa's Virtual Card products across a wide range of cross-functional teams including Technology, Risk, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Implementation, Client Service and regional product teams.

The role requires technical, analytical, collaborative and strategic product skills with strong experience in JIRA to write meaningful stories and capture the OKRS for the product. In addition, the role is required to develop a deep understanding of the Visa Virtual Card product suite, ensure changes to the product are executed on time and budget, and that Issuer and technology provider client impacts are understood, communicated, and managed. This role will also involve some operational activities including but not limited to creation and distribution of monthly release notes, generation of monthly payment volume dashboards and capturing the SLAs in a timely fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizing JIRA to create and manage comprehensive user stories and maintain clear product documentation and communicating them effectively with the technical team.
  • Tracking, reporting, and achieving product OKRs
  • Performing operational activities such as creating and distributing monthly release notes, generating payment volume dashboards, and capturing and reporting SLAs in a timely manner
  • Continuing to develop and expand a deep understanding of Virtual Card strategies, priorities, customer and market needs and integrating them into the product roadmap.
  • Bringing a 'Can do' attitude.
  • Planning and conducting User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful business releases.
  • Producing product documentation including User Guides, Product Overview decks and training materials.
  • Perform go-to-market activities by closely working with program management, regional product managers, other product teams, finance, operations, legal, compliance and external partners as required.
  • Serve as product SME and collaborate with client financial institutions through the relationships of regional product, implementation, and support teams.
  • Displaying a high level of critical thinking and problem resolution for new and existing products.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal/communication skills, collaborates within and across organizations.
  • Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.

This position can be filled Visa offices located at either Austin, TX or Ashburn, VA - No Relocation Assistance provided

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Experience within the payments or financial technology industryis a plus
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in presenting and communicating complex/detailed topics.
  • Strong proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word)
  • Experience managing digital, fintech, SaaS products and commercial card payment products from inception to launch
  • Prior experience with virtual card payment solutions
  • Understanding of Payment flows in B2B (B2C2B, etc.)and different segments involved.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a product manager
  • Ability to identify points of failure and to formulate error-handling approaches for product resiliency.
  • Technical expertise and high level understanding of authorization, clearing and tokenization flows.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, manage, and implement complex projects whether directly or through supervision.

Work Hours:Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,200 to 207,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
