Salary plus: up to $150K depending on experience

MANDATORY - must have 3 years of HVAC Management experience / 5 years is a plus

Management schedule: 7 days a week, primarily Mon. - Fri., with availability to assist on-call technicians on weekends* if needed.

As ABC's HVAC Service Manager, you will be responsible for training, supervising and coordinating the activities of our HVAC Specialists in the assigned branch(s) to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality service for all customers. The Branch HVAC Service Manager is also expected to foster a positive team environment, work towards continuous improvement in our service delivery processes, and ensure consistency with (and adherence to) all company/division policies and processes.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• MANDATORY - must have 3 years of HVAC Management experience / 5 years is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership ability and track-record of motivating teams and individuals is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate with members at all levels of the organization and customers.
• Detail oriented with the ability to organize department work flow and create solutions for production and administrative problems.
• Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
• Appropriate state licensing and registration required.
• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Ability to use and navigate electronic tablet/phone, etc.
• Computer skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
• Must maintain an active Texas Driver's license and submit copy of renewed license to HR.
• Maintains good driving record.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in extreme temperatures including outdoors.
• Repetitive lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing and carry up to 50 lbs. may be required.
• Ability to handle and climb a 10 foot ladder.
• Travel will be required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• The Branch HVAC Service Manager must have complete knowledge of how to perform the primary field-specialist responsibilities.
• Makes recommendations to improve operations and coordinates work flow to achieve the goals set by the company and the division.
• Responds to customer service complaints by phone, email, or meets with customers in person; answers troubleshooting calls and resolves problems that are of a complex nature and follows through until a resolution has been reached.
• Regularly observes individual skills of each Specialist and corrects improper techniques to improve efficiency of the Specialist's work and ensures adherence to service best practices (and code compliance) for maximum effectiveness as an expert serving the customer.
• As required, documents Specialist performance issues or policy violations and coaches them for positive outcomes.
• Encouraged to seek counsel before more adverse coaching steps are required.
• Expected to clearly communicate employee standing, whether positive or negative, to ensure a Specialist is seldom surprised by delivered feedback.
• Approves electronic time sheets and PTO requests in a timely manner.
• Makes vehicles ready for new hires or transfers and ensures monthly vehicle inspections are completed and documented. Monitors driving skills, rides with new employees to grade the new employees' readiness for operation of a company vehicle, and reinforces proper techniques if necessary.
• Effectively manages employee conflict, resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
• Escalates the matter to upper Management or HR for employee resolution when required.
• Responsible for improving inventory management and processes - including reliable and accurate month-end inventory counts and reporting.
• Works in coordination with the Warehouse Specialist to ensure efficient equipment and inventory logistics and in making plans for future demand and purchase and/or replacement of equipment.
• Assists Division Operations Manager with day to day supplier relationships; makes and/or approves all supplier invoices (ensuring accuracy and validity of charges).
• Remains knowledgeable regarding company policies and procedures and communicates these to employees. Seeks counsel of employment law when necessary.
• Responsible for assigning all equipment to new hires and accounting of all returned equipment when employment is terminated.
• Enforces all safety regulations, applicable codes of compliance and company policies and procedures.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve goals.
• Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property of our customers.
• Responsible for personally maintaining a professional appearance and demonstrating a positive attitude -- ensuring all specialists do so as well at all times and in all circumstances. Lead by example.
