National Grid is hiring a Senior Engineer, Electrical Planning and Design for Massachusetts. Hybrid. Ability to travel throughout our service territory for critical meetings where face to face interaction is of high value. Job Purpose
The Senior Engineer will work as part of a team to develop and maintain standards, electrical operating procedures, and material specifications relative to Transmission Line work, to ensure they are in line with strategic business objectives and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Standards support new and existing transmission lines throughout National Grids US territory which vary in voltage from 69 to 345kV. Key Accountabilities
* Develop technical content and implementation of National Grid's Transmission Engineering and Design philosophy, standards, guidelines, and procedures; identify risks and put in place actions to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil / Structural or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school. More Information Salary - $129,000 - $152,000 This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
