POSITION REPORTS TO: Executive Director

DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt, Full-time (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

CLIENT/DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Coalition of State Rheumatology Organizations (CSRO) is comprised of nearly every active state rheumatology society in the nation, representing over 40 states, with a mission of advocating for excellence in the field of rheumatology, ensuring access to the highest quality of care for the management of rheumatologic and musculoskeletal disease.

JOB OVERVIEW:
This position works closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement the organization's communications plan and ensure effective membership engagement. In addition, the position implements activities in support of the association's strategic plan, manages the website and social media platforms, liaises with committees as assigned to provide assistance and support, and manages membership activities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Manage communications for CSRO, including but not limited to:

    • Branding guidelines and key messages.
    • Emails, including biweekly updates and targeted action alerts.
    • CSRO website, including revisions to page content, navigation, and overall site architecture, with support from EDI Web Services department.
    • Social media accounts, with support from Hart Health Strategies.
    • Print materials, including biannual newsletter, issue overviews, tabling materials, and other handouts as needed.


  • Develops materials for and coordinates promotion of the Fellows Conference, Advocacy Conference, meetings of state society members, and the various board meetings held throughout the year. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Creating, implementing and analyzing meeting marketing strategies; and
    • Oversees creation and lay out of promotional materials including but not limited to marketing, design, and development of annual conference website, preliminary and final programs, broadcast emails, print and web advertising, etc.


  • Develop webpage, descriptions, and other online and promotional resources for virtual meetings.
  • Serve as staff liaison to the Membership Committee and coordinates implementation of engagement strategies for state society members in alignment with the strategic plan.
  • Manage and oversee CSRO virtual events in collaboration with the Administrative Meeting Manager.
  • Directs and manages membership processes including:

    • Manage the annual membership renewal process, including invoicing and dues payment.
    • Maintaining membership records, database and membership directory on an ongoing basis.
    • Liaise with EDI Information Services Dept. for data entry and reports as needed.


  • Perform duties as required to assist the Executive Director in implementing the Strategic Plan developed by the Board of Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in communications, design, and computer proficiency desired.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on a high-level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize varied assignments and handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.


TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Approximately 2-3 weeks per year, including some evenings and weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a full-time position is located in our office in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.

Early morning, evening and weekend work may be required to meet client needs.
