Under direct supervision of a Market Manager or other senior leader, responsible for expanding and deepening customer relationships by identifying customers' needs comprehensively and matching their needs with selections and resources within the colleague's assigned business line and across all business lines of Associated Bank. Provide financial expertise on bank products and services to Mass Affluent clients. Work closely with other business line partners to develop relationships and ensure retention of client assets and growth in relationships. Assist in growing loans, deposits, fee income, overall asset growth and financial planning. This will be accomplished by acting as a resource across the bank bringing together the right partners, providing convenience to clients, and providing bank wide tailored solutions to clients. Achieve individual/branch team goals and business line referrals in line with Associated Bank's Core Values. The colleagues in this role will be asked to support multiple branch locations to ensure flexibility and mobility to meet the expectations of our branch and customers.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.

This person will also:

  • Grow assets under management by developing new business through proactive sales efforts with both existing clients and new customers. Participates in joint appointments to further develop relationships.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of sales, products, benefits, account ownership, forms, and procedures. Ensure that new accounts are properly opened and cross-sell opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Develop financial expertise and familiarity with the bank's products and services to identify client needs, presenting solutions through product benefits, answering questions, completing the sale, and nurturing relationships, personally committing to consistently exceed customer expectations with each client interaction.
  • Establish good working rapport and creditability with other coworkers. Provides guidance to other Banker colleagues to help develop proactive sales activities and act as a subject matter expert to help mentor and guide bankers to provide excellent customer service and identify sales opportunities. Attend bank level meetings to provide business sales updates and to identify and communicate sales opportunities.
  • Initiate new opportunities for the bank by building and expanding internal and external referral sources.
  • Provide financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients regarding trends and conditions of the environment and general banking trends through bank approved sources.* Actively participate in community functions/groups to promote the image of the Bank as an integral member of the community, committed to the goals and interests of the community. Establish referral contacts within the community.

Education

  • High School Diploma. Required

Experience

  • 3+ years' experience working in a sales or goals-based environment with strong customer service focus. Required
  • 2 years Banker experience. Required
  • 3-5 years working in a sales and goals-based environment with strong customer service focus. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Associated Bank-Banker Certification within 6 months. Required
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable by start date. Required
