Seeking a candidate to be part of our receiving dock team that is highly energetic & believes in safety first. The main responsibility of a receiving dock employee is greeting and interacting with delivery personnel, ensuring packages are acknowledged and delivered to the appropriate internal location. Individual must have a positive attitude and be able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

* Responsible for greeting and interacting with various delivery drivers

* Complete & verify deliveries for accuracy to match BOL (Bill of Lading)

* Maintain accurate levels of supplies and manage Kanbans where required.

* Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers

* Support the effective communication with internal partners, specifically purchasing, logistics, and material handling regarding issues or concerns.

* Participate in semi-annual inventory.

* Individual must have stamina as this position may requires long hours, weekends and holidays during peak times.

* Standing, bending, carrying and lifting 35 lbs. consistently.

* Ensure all individuals on receiving dock wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements.

* Maintain a clean and organized dock environment free of any debris to prevent safety hazards.

* Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 2-5 years of related experience

  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead hoists and basic hand tools, preferred

  • Experience with high dock volume, warehouse, construction or crating, preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel desired

Compensation Details

Hourly: $19.00 - $25.00
