Senior Engineer (Cisco ISE and DNA)

The Role
As a Senior Engineer at Presidio, you will be focused on engineering for our enterprise client. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting as a global technical environment, a high level of technical skills for troubleshooting and problem analysis, along with the ability to clearly communicate the results of problem analysis to client representatives, IT support teams, and technology vendors to quickly and effectively resolve operational issues. The Senior Engineer works in direct partnership with the client and internal Presidio teams to build and support complex and reliable technical solutions, global technical environment, a high level of technical skills for troubleshooting and problem analysis, along with the ability to clearly communicate the results of problem analysis to client representatives, IT support teams, and technology vendors to quickly and effectively resolve operational issues. The Senior Engineer works in direct partnership with the client and internal Presidio teams to build and support complex and reliable technical solutions.

Travel Requirements:

This role will be located on client site 5 days a week in the nearby Irving area. Upon completion of 90 days, a hybrid work arrangement will be possible (3 days onsite; 2 days remote).

Responsibilities include:

• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate customer change windows
• Design, maintain and/or troubleshoot in scope elements for assigned client(s). Adhere to contractual obligations by understanding what task and in/out of contract scope
• Depending on customer requirements, duties may be performed onsite at customer designated location or may be remote
• Develop a strong technical trusted advisor relationship with customer(s)
• Create and maintain good technical supporting documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, configuration and affected problems and track vendor support cases through to problem resolution on production issues
• Manage incident and changes within ServiceNow and/or other client system if specific to the contract
• Demonstrate a working knowledge, understanding, and experience with Network infrastructure (WAN, MAN, LAN, Security, Wi-Fi, Data, Voice, and Video) while engaging customer(s)

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or military experience
• 5+ years' experience designing, implementing and maintaining large network infrastructures
• 5+ years' experience troubleshooting devices within their engineering field
• We seek strong familiarity with Cisco DNA and ISE
• CCNP preferred or equivalent experience related to the area of specialty is required
• You possess strong Firewall experience.
• You bring design, maintenance and third level support for Cisco routing and switching
• Perform testing of new features, and functionality as required and help develop plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live network
• Established and proven experience of providing WAN & LAN support in diverse environments
• Working knowledge with Wireshark
• Strong knowledge with Network protocols (IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPsec, etc)
• Prior experience with Network Hardware (Cisco routers and switches, cabling, firewalls)
• Previous experience with Incident, Change and Problem Management processes within an ITIL based framework
• Prior experience adding new SDA sites, troubleshooting end devices on SDA that integrated with Cisco ISE
