Job purpose

The National Accounts Specialist is responsible for some of Global's largest accounts by providing the highest level of sales, customer service, and administrative support. National Accounts Specialists are well-organized, detail oriented with excellent communication skills, and able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset. Candidates must possess proficient computer skills and be a team player with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with employees of select National Accounts including Management, Sales Representatives, and Administrative Support personnel.
  • Create and execute sales strategies to grow Global's business with each assigned account as directed by the Director - National Accounts.
  • Conduct meetings both virtually and in-person with all account contacts regarding strategy, business development, and opportunities for growth.
  • Lead the sales process with assigned accounts; collaborating with Global Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Territory Managers to accomplish agreed upon goals.
  • Manage and track sales opportunities, pipelines, and performance metrics to achieve growth targets.
  • Collaborate on pricing strategies and contract negotiations to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Provide project support for large opportunities.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities and communication with assigned accounts.
  • Professionally present and train on Global's products and programs to select National Accounts or internal team members.
  • Provide excellent customer support and be able to answer technical product and internal process questions.
  • Prioritize multiple ongoing projects and multi-task.
  • Collaborate with various internal Global departments including Customer Care, Logistics, IT, Marketing, and Accounting to create the best end-to-end customer experience.
  • Oversee product content management and setup initiatives in order to ensure that Global's product portfolio is accurately represented.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, military experience, and professional work experience.
  • 2-3 years related experience in sales, account management, or customer success.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic account plans.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, PowerBI, AS400, and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overnight travel may be required for specific events, meetings, and tradeshows.

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Global, an individual may not be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each potion and candidate. (If a bonus or commissions see below for additional sentence).

BONUS/COMMISSIONS

This position is also eligible for performance-based commissions based on sales volume in assigned region.
