We are looking for a District Manager for the Northshore Region to join our team! The salary range for this position is $82,173.08 to $102,716.35 based on skills and experience.

As a dedicated member of the OnPath FCU team, this role performs a variety of tasks that in partnership with the surrounding departments, provides cost effective financial services for the benefit of our members who are our primary focus. POSITION SUMMARY:

The District Manager is responsible for leading and managing a group of branch managers within a designated geographic district. This role ensures consistent operational excellence, superior member service, and strong financial performance across all branches. In addition to overseeing branch operations and performance, the District Manager is charged with driving business development initiatives to grow membership, deepen relationships, and expand the credit union's presence in the community.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Branch Oversight & Performance


  • Conducts Directly supervise and support multiple branch managers, ensuring alignment with credit union standards and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze branch performance metrics including growth, profitability, service quality, and compliance.
  • Conduct regular branch visits to assess operations, provide coaching, and reinforce best practices.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and service standards across all locations.



Leadership & Team Development


  • Hire, train, and develop branch managers to foster a high-performing, member-focused culture.
  • Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and career development opportunities.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.



Business Development & Market Growth


  • Develop and execute district-level business development plans to increase membership, loans, and deposits.
  • Build relationships with community leaders, local businesses, and Select Employer Groups (SEGs) to promote the credit union's products and services.
  • Represent the credit union at community events, business forums, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to implement local campaigns and outreach strategies.



Strategic Collaboration & Reporting


  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments (Lending, Marketing, Compliance, HR) to support district and branch success.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on district performance, challenges, opportunities, and market trends.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the district.



Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial services, including multi-branch or district-level management.
  • Proven experience in business development and community engagement.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, lending, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and leading change.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel within the district as needed.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.



Other Conditions:


  • Frequent travel between branch locations and community sites.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours to attend events or meetings.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.


Interpersonal Skills


  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.



Other Skills


  • Strong decision-making skills, and high emotional intelligence is required. Proficiency in conflict resolution and effective delegation is essential. Exceptional time management and communication skills are vital, along with a commitment to fostering creativity, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement. Adaptability, customer focus, financial acumen, are also necessary for success in this role.
