Description
Primary Purpose: The Treasury Management (TM) Director - Head of Commercial Card will be responsible for oversight and coordination of the TM Commercial Card team leading one or more levels of managers or individual contributors leading the product strategy, sales enablement, client support, operational excellence, risk management, and execution of the bank's commercial card program launch and growth strategy. The director will oversee the entire product lifecycle - from ideation, product launch, long term growth- ensuring the product suite aligns with client needs, market trends, profitability objectives, regulatory requirements, and the bank's broader strategy. Collaborate with TM sales, product, operations, technology and other internal partner teams, to identify areas for financial, risk, and operational improvement for the business. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and manage a multi-year product roadmap: related investment priorities, performance and profitability targets, staffing strategy, pricing strategy, audit, and service quality working closely with TM Executive and TM Product Director
- Oversee the design, pricing, sales positioning, underwriting, go-to-market strategy, and ongoing client support of commercial card products aligning the commercial card strategy with broader TM and bank wide goals
- Drive innovation by identifying and integrating emerging technologies and market trends with industry competitive research, analysis, benchmarking, and in-depth knowledge of industry/competitor offerings
- Monitor and enhance portfolio performance including volume growth, spend penetration, interchange revenue, and credit quality.
- In partnership with Technology Commercial Applications team, manage key vendors relationships, partner on testing, document and report test results, key performance indicators of products and services, and implementation of new product releases and data conversions
- Represent TM Commercial Card on relevant Bank-wide projects, initiatives, due diligence, and/or strategy activities
- Lead writing and publishing communications for both internal and external documents as needed specific to commercial card suite such as product agreements, user agreements, and quick reference guides
- Leverage data and analytics to derive insights into profitability, retention, penetration and customer experience
- Serve as a through leader in the market; represent the bank at industry events, client forums, and key RFPs
- Collaborate with sales, TM product, support, marketing, and relationship managers to support client informed product design and overall satisfaction and evolving client needs
- Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with business partners vital to improving processes across multiple departments.
- Ensure voice of the client is heard while adhering to policies, laws, rules and regulations.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to create high performing teams and employee engagement across all functions to meet business objectives and strategy.
- Collaborate and influence to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Treasury Management strategies, policies, and business line objectives.
- Oversee execution of various project tasks, including gathering data/requirements, analyzing data, documenting processes, designing solutions, and creating executive presentations
- Protect the bank by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- CTP, AAP, or other industry accreditation preferred
- 10 years Treasury Management experience, Commercial Card, Product Management, or other relevant experience
- 5+ years management experience
- Deep understanding of the commercial payments ecosystem including card processing, networks, profitability modeling, virtual cards, and supplier payment strategies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization and external partners
- Experience launching a commercial card program preferred
- Business professional with integrity, trustworthy, honest, and able to handle confidential information
- Periodic travel required
