The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the Area Manager, Shipping Supervisors and Supply Chain to assist in efficient and effective operations of the packaging and shipping departments. They will be responsible for finished goods inventory accuracy of both in and out of spec products. You will be onsite at the Lake Charles, LA plant and report to the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities Monitor and track inventory of finished good Complete product cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy Perform weekly row audits and adjust inventory as necessary Follow production/packing schedule to set up material reclaiming, coordinate with production on blending needs Track waste quantities and coordinate disposal and write off material Monitor busted/off weight pallets for reconfiguration Verify daily hourly employee time Develop and post weekly schedules for job coverage Assist in customer complaint root cause analysis, solution implementation and tracking. Ensure organization, tracking and documentation of shipping paperwork, inspections, etc. Assist Area Manger and production engineer in improvement efforts Qualifications High School degree required; bachelor's degree preferred 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial environment preferred Experience within safe work practices Knowledge of SAP is beneficial Strong organizational skills PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
