HDR is looking for a dynamic human resources professional ready to take your career to the next level. In the role of Human Resources Business Partner, we'll count on you to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee general employee relations and performance management questions or issues for employees
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns and complaints incoordination with the Area HR Manager and/or Regional HR Director
- Serve as a business partner and collaborate with Area Management and Business Group Leaders to support strategic initiatives
- Drive the annual performance conversation review process for assigned locations
- Develop and/or present a variety of local training programs
- Prepare, oversee and manage Affirmative Action Plans for appropriate locations and identify and engage in outreach initiatives
- Understand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, assist with employees' benefit-relatedquestions of moderate complexity, and refer complex questions to corporate benefits team
- Coordinate requested compensation market studies with managers, Area HR Manager, and corporate HR
- Ensure the fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures, addressing policy and procedure questions, including those of moderate complexity
- Oversee new hire onboarding and the completion of new hire employee paperwork
- Assist staff with leaves of absence and accommodation requests
- Review and analyze employee HRIS data for accuracy
- Other HR Generalist duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 2+ years of employee relations and investigations experience
- 2+ years of developing and delivering training
- Experience working with employees in multiple offices throughout a region
- PHR, SHPR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and ability to work within a variety of different systems
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' Human Resources experience
- Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
- High proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication and strong client service ability
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Experience leading and attending performance conversations
- Ability to facilitate employee training
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to travel 15% of the time
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
