Summary of This Role The Channel Manager partners with the Global Payments regions and sales channels to deploy the Genius Retail platform into new markets. From discovery to product delivery, this role assists in managing the full product commercialization lifecycle, closely collaborating with both internal and external teams to ensure the product gets into the hands of SMB merchants on time and under budget. This is a critical role with high visibility and high impact. This position is responsible for execution of Genius Retail product launches, from enabling the solution to the sales channels to fully commercializing and launching into the market(s). This position is also responsible for the ongoing relationship with the sales channels to help grow revenue by supporting the sales teams, extending the product feature set, and integrating value added services, preferably other Global Payments solutions. This role is best suited for someone who can comfortably shift from motivating peers to managing expectations across hundreds of contributors, to working closely with executive stakeholders. Performance will be measured by on time delivery, internal partner satisfaction, and product contribution to revenue.
What Part Will You Play?
- Running concurrent Genius Retail expansion efforts to multiple sales channels, specifically those with large addressable markets due to their revenue impact
- Overseeing the Genius Retail product development lifecycle (PDLC) in all regions/partner product launches to include project planning, kick-off, tracking, communication, implementation, and evaluation
- Managing business cases and project budgets upwards of $250k; determining LOEs, advocating for appropriate resource allocation, and managing burn rates
- Working closely with Sales Enablement, Project Management, Product, Design, Support, and Engineering to develop shared project plans and deployment timelines, subsequently prioritizing and hitting project milestones
- Organizing complex processes into streamlined programs from building out implementation plans to directing process documentation
- Working closely with marketing, boarding, delivery, sales operations, finance, call centers/support, training, learning and documentation to ensure holistic delivery
- Proactively mitigating and removing barriers and/or risk through collaborative problem solving across diverse teams
- Communicating statuses, issues, and risks to leadership in an articulate, concise, and informative manner
- Executing alongside a fast-paced, ever-evolving roadmap
- Working closely with senior leadership to assist in the creation of business cases
- Organizing revenue models for product expansion forecasts and new opportunity evaluation
- Partnering with Finance and senior leaders to ensure proper cross-channel reporting
- Proactively working with internal and external partners to determine future needs and enhancement requests, actively communicating them to the Genius Retail Product team
- Brainstorming with internal and external partners on how existing features could combine into new product variations, while maintaining emphasis on driving revenue, value, and engagement
- Guiding third-party partner and vendor management as required, including relationship management, financial and status reporting, and documentation
- Telling the product story through demonstration of current functionality and future states
- Organizing and/or conducting internal training during implementation and launch phases
- Providing business unit overviews for potential internal and external partners as needed
- Suggesting improvements based on experience to improve process and product scalability
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 6 Years Relevant Experience in product management, project management, and/or other relevant fields
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Business or Computer Science; Combination of relevant training and/ or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in similar business product services and/or external customer/market experience
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Point of Sale industry, specifically Android-based solutions and other relevant mobile products
- 2+ years experience leading others, including mentorship, coaching, and performance management
- Exhibits a positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm to work in a hyper-growth environment
- Financial technology and/or customer analytics experience a plus
- Solid understanding of the payments industry with an emphasis on credit and debit card processing
- Solid experience with commercial edge software development, deployment, and tools (full SDLC)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- Standing/ Walking - minimal level
