Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated per year salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • One to three years accounting or finance experience, preferably in a Hospital environment
  • Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting process,
  • Above average Microsoft Excel skills
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize work flow

Responsibilities:

  • Ad-hoc analyses as needed
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Download and maintain Hospital position control worksheet
  • Maintain the monthly FTE report
  • Gather and analyze information required for various cost reports
  • Work with consultants in preparing cost reports to ensure timely filing
  • Serve as a liaison for all Medicaid audits
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis of cost report related documents as needed
  • Review chart of accounts in conjunction with cost reporting requirements and make recommendations for change
  • Analyze operations and recommend changes to maximize cost reimbursement
  • Complete various monthly reconciliations and schedules
  • Assist in preparation of per year capital, operating and revenue budgets
  • Assist department heads in labor and expense variance analysis
  • Maintain accurate census, visit, and hospital wide statistics relating to the operating budget
  • Review current processes and procedures, recommend changes to streamline and integrate data flow
