The above reflects the anticipated per hour range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Peer Support Staff facilitate CPR Peer Support Groups and assist the CPR Case Manager in facilitating CPR Psycho-educational Groups.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • CORE Training and Co-occurring Certificate from the Mental Health Association in NJ MHANJ
  • Experience as a mental health consumer
  • Valid NJ Driver's License

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Scheduling Requirements:

  • FT

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support and encouragement to CPR consumers
  • Interface with family and friends of CPR consumers
  • Provide outreach and support to CPR consumers, consistent with Treatment Plans
  • Transport or arrange transportation to appointments, as needed
  • Attend CPR Team Meetings
  • Assist CPR Consumers in completing Wellness & Recovery Baseline and Followup Surveys
  • Complete Evaluator's training on interviewing techniques for administering Evaluation surveys
  • Assist CPR Consumers in developing Psychiatric Advanced Directives
