Section I Job Identification Company Name Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Job Code S1456 Job Title Asst Director Patient Care JOB OVERVIEW: The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly Saint Barnabas Medical Center) is the only state-certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey, and one of the largest in North America. With 12 intensive care beds and an 18-bed step-down unit for less critically injured patients. The Burn Center provides expert care for patients of all ages. We are seeking a compassionate, intensive care Assistant Director (Registered Nurse) to assist the Nurse Manager and care for our patients in their time of need. Ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and his/her nursing units in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education. Provides input into the evaluation of staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Participates in nursing Quality Improvement. Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care for patients. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
