DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will make independent decisions concerning the processes to be followed, use discretion, good judgement, and maintain confidentiality by providing clerical office support with the Board of Pardons. You will process incoming clemency applications, receive emails in a resource account, ensure mail is processed efficiently by sorting, processing, and distributing appropriately. Scans/files correspondence for applications that have been filed and makes necessary changes including updating contact information and adding/deleting interested parties. Obtaining JNET and CLEAN Certification is required since you will be tasked with accessing and requesting criminal history records, driving records and/or notifications on prior or current applicants.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Previous experience efficiently using and navigating a PC.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Previous experience with communication tools, such as video conferencing, and creating meetings in Teams.
- Previous experience combining and manipulating documents in Adobe Pro.
- Proficient keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Familiarity with criminal court documents.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
