LOCATION: Point Mugu, CA

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: DoD Secret (Active)

CERTIFICATION: (Preferred) PMP, DAWIA III, Lean Six Sigma

TRAVEL: As Needed

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager. The Program Manager will lead and oversee all contract support activities related to the PMA-208 Aerial Target Program portfolio. This senior-level role requires extensive experience in program planning, military systems development, and systems analysis. The Program Manager will be responsible for aligning program objectives with organizational goals, directing logistics and safety support, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in defense program execution, cross-functional leadership, and risk management. An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience organizing, directing, and coordinating planning and implementation of contract support activities

  • At least 5 years of management and supervision experience in military hardware/software development

  • At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis

  • Demonstrated ability to:

    • Interpret policies, purposes, and goals for subordinate staff

    • Manage logistics support analysis for military systems

    • Conduct and oversee systems safety studies

  • Proven experience in resource acquisition and utilization to achieve technical objectives

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • DAWIA Level III Certification in Program Management

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and coordinate all contract support activities related to the PMA-208 Aerial Target Program portfolio

  • Formulate and review project feasibility studies, assess cost estimates, and ensure alignment with work standards and contractual objectives

  • Define program objectives, scope, and deliverables to align with organizational goals

  • Oversee and guide subordinate teams in understanding and executing organizational goals and policies

  • Manage all aspects of logistics support and systems safety for military systems

  • Identify and secure required resources to meet program objectives

  • Monitor program performance against milestones and key performance indicators

  • Identify potential program risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Provide regular status updates and performance reports to stakeholders

  • Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations throughout the program lifecycle
