Description

We are seeking experienced, skilled individuals to fill the role of Dining Services Supervisor to oversee the kitchen and lead our culinary team, providing high-quality meals to the residents. This position is responsible for providing supervision and work direction to Dining services staff. Participates in recruitment for positions within the department. Monitors the quality and timeliness of meal service and monitors all infection control procedures. Prepares and delivers special functions.

Full-time position, requires candidate to work every other weekend and every other holiday.



  • 10:00am - 6:30pm (may be later depending on kitchen close)

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Culinary Arts, Dietetics, or related field preferred. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is preferred.

Experience: Minimum three years institutional nutrition services experience is required. Two years supervisory experience within the food service industry. State and County Survey experience. Experience within senior care industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated abilities to participate in and collaborate with groups
  • Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others
  • High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software, including word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet applications
