Summary:

The Child Life Zone Assistant is responsible for providing essential life experiences and family support to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Zone Assistant collaborates with the Child Life Zone Coordinator, Child Life Specialists and with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the healthcare experience. As a child life staff member, the child life zone assistant demonstrates a commitment to Cook Children's Health Care System operating values, as follows, integrating them into each job function. Qualifications:

• Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent college coursework in Child Development or related field.

• Preferred 2 years direct care experience with children, volunteer work acceptable.
