Zimmerman ACC Student Team Lead

The Adobe Creative Commons Unit in Zimmerman Library has an opening for a Student Team Lead. We seek a student with digital media software and equipment skills, experience teaching others to use these skills, and demonstrated leadership ability. Experience working for the Adobe Creative Commons required.

ACC student employees are the first point of contact for most patrons at the ACC, and take care of most of the one-on-one trainings and lending processes for the ACC. The STL helps to double-check and ensure that workflows and processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties include:

• Assisting unit staff in providing oversight of daily student tasks
• Suggest improvements and note concerns in existing workflows and processes
• Adjust students' workflows as needed to best meet unit needs and ensure that work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Elevate issues to staff as appropriate and communicate timely and consistently with staff
• Model and support UL student employee rules and expectations, including attendance, breaks, and quality work
• Work with unit staff to provide training to unit student employees
• Participate in special projects as assigned

All ACC student employees may be asked to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends. All UL&LS student employees are employed on a term basis for the current / impending school year.

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at UNM for a minimum of 6 credit hours during the normal school year.
• Demonstrated proficiency in digital media production hardware such as AV equipment and/or Adobe Creative Cloud apps (equivalent apps such as Procreate, Reaper, Audacity, Gimp, Da Vinci, etc. may be accepted if applicant is willing to learn)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Customer service experience and digital media project management skills.
• Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced soft skills in digital media creation, such as advanced design or video production skills.
• Significant experience in working with the ACC or a similar environment.
• Work study preferred.
