WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS Waukesha County's Mental Health Center is seekinga talentedClinical Therapistto join its team.The Waukesha County Mental Health Center operates a 16-bed psychiatric hospital for adults. Admissions are on a voluntary or involuntary basis. The Clinical Therapist works within a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, advanced practice nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, and nurses. The main job duties of this position include:
- Conducing comprehensive evaluations to understand patients' mental health status, social environment, and needs.
- Identifying and developing social services interventions as part of comprehensive treatment plans.
- Leading group therapy sessions.
- Coordinating with legal entities in cases involving involuntary admissions.
- Developing and implementing effective discharge plans that ensure a smooth transition from inpatient care to community resources or home support.
- Facilitating family sessions with patients in preparation for discharge from inpatient care.

Graduation from a recognized college or university with a master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational,) counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area. 2. Candidates must have Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training, status as a minimum. 3. Two (2) years of post bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area.
