Your Impact As the Housing Compliance Specialist at Fountain House, you will be a pivotal team member, developing systems and processes aimed at improving efficiency and maintaining high-quality documentation in our housing programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency and quality of documentation across housing programs, ensuring all records are maintained for auditing purposes.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation related to tenant admissions and discharges in Fountain House's EHR system.
- Manage external portal updates (CAIRS, HRA/CAPS) and ensure information is current.
- Manage user access to HRA/CAPS
- Ensure the proper documentation used for Medicaid billing for TAP and Wanaque programs is completed accurately and in accordance with housing contracts.
- Oversee the management of all housing program waitlists, ensuring that they are current, accurate, and compliant with the guidelines set by funders and housing policies.
- Support housing teams in maintaining full compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Directors of Scattered Site Housing, Housing and Programming and QA and Compliance to ensure seamless compliance across the organization.
- Internal QA checks for all housing programs
- Maintain the HUD waitlist and internal housing waitlist
- Co-Lead and maintain the minutes of the Quarterly Incident Review Committee Meeting
- Other related tasks and work as assigned by the Sr Director of QA and Compliance

- You are highly organized, with te ability to manage multiple priorities, workflows, and deadlines effectively

- With an independent work ethic, you have the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and drive tasks to completion without close supervision.
- You are an exceptional communicator, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal housing staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- You perform well under pressure, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments, working effectively with diverse teams and organizational leaders to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality improvement across housing programs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as experience with AWARDS and city/state reporting systems such as CAIRS, HRA/CAPS, and other relevant housing databases.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in housing compliance
- Knowledge of the NYC housing guidelines preferred.
